Location: Lisle, Illinois (4 days Onsite is Required)

OVERVIEW

TalentFish is casting a line for a Senior Software Engineer (.NET / React Developer) to contribute to our client s product initiative.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is proficient in both .NET Core and ReactJS and has experience across the full software development lifecycle using an Agile framework. and is skilled in modernizing and enhancing existing web applications while ensuring long-term application performance. This person should be comfortable supporting mission-critical systems while leading modernization initiatives that improve scalability, reliability, automation, security, observability, and long-term maintainability, and should work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE. (IDEAL EXPERIENCE)

• Minimum 5+ years of development experience with ASP.NET / .NET Core using C# (and/or VB.NET) in Visual Studio IDE.
• Minimum 3+ years of development experience with React.js.
• Experience developing Web APIs in .NET Core.
• Experience writing extensive unit tests and Web API testing.
• Good understanding of security, performance, and scalability considerations.
• Experience modernizing legacy ASP.NET Web Forms applications to .NET Core + React.
• Strong understanding of HTML, XML, CSS, JSON, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Expert-level knowledge of SQL, including writing complex queries and stored procedures.
• Skilled in working with SOAP and REST services.
• Good understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
• Understanding of the GitFlow branching strategy and deployments.
• Familiarity with deploying to Kubernetes clusters.
• Understanding of SOLID design principles.
• Experience with code refactoring and design patterns.
• Familiarity with ADO or JIRA.
• Experience with CI/CD, deployment pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, containerization, or DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with TFS and Git.
• Familiarity with Azure.
• Strong understanding of technical best practices to support an agile environment.
• Familiarity with Telerik is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.

WHAT YOU'LL DO. (SKILLS USED IN THIS POSITION)

• Contribute full stack development work (.NET Core and ReactJS) to the My International Sales (MIS) product initiative.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle using an Agile framework.
• Modernize and enhance existing web applications, including migrating legacy ASP.NET Web Forms applications to .NET Core + React.
• Develop and test Web APIs in .NET Core, including writing extensive unit tests.
• Support mission-critical systems while leading modernization initiatives that improve scalability, reliability, automation, security, observability, and long-term maintainability.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Work with SOAP and REST services and apply OOP and SOLID design principles in day-to-day development.
• Collaborate using GitFlow branching strategy, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized deployments (including Kubernetes).
• Work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment alongside cross-functional team members.

Compensation Information:
This role requires authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship. The expected hourly rate for this position is $55 - $62 per hour W2, depending on experience and qualifications. This role also qualifies for comprehensive benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off. TalentFish is committed to pay transparency and equal opportunity.
