Job Description



Job Title: Senior Field Process Engineer

Duration: Full-Time

Schedule: 5 day on site- 70% office and 30% field with the field work increasing depending on number of projects in construction.

Salary: $140-150k (negotiable)

Day to Day:


  • Troubleshoot plant issues and develop recommended remediation plans and designs.

  • Perform plant simulations to establish baselines, simulate modifications and estimate performance enhancements to existing plant facilities.

  • Perform and check design calculations for sizing of equipment, control valves, lines and PSVs.

  • Prepare project design scopes in support of capital projects, commercial development, and plant optimization.

  • Participate in reviews of designs prepared by outside engineering contractors, vendors, fabricators, and manufacturers.

  • Participate in PHA/HAZOP review meetings.

  • Monitor field construction activities to ensure compliance with contract drawings and specifications.

  • Perform Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs) and progress Project Management of Change.

  • Support Field Environmental and Safety with development of emissions/release calculations.



Must Haves:


  • BS in Engineering is required; Chemical Engineering is heavily preferred.


  • A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in a refinery/chemical plant environment or related industry engineering within a continuous production facility is required.



  • Have field experience.



  • Familiarity with API Standards and OSHA 1910.119 (PSM),


  • Proficiency in basic PC skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.
