Job Description

Here at Gousto, we are on a mission to become the UK's most loved way to eat dinner, and for every meal to leave the planet better off. Gousto is changing how people shop, cook and eat food at home. It’s an incredibly exciting time to join our team - and we’re a friendly bunch!

We’re proud to be one of the fastest-growing companies in the UK. Powered by data and a love of food, we’re a recipe box company that’s disrupting the sector, and we’re passionate about our diverse team and our customers.

All of our people are responsible for the success of Gousto, and we’re passionate about creating an inclusive environment for all to thrive. Our guiding values - Dream, Deliver and Care - show our commitment to innovation, our ambition to hit goals at speed, and our deep respect for the people we work with.

We have an exciting opportunity in the form of Production Supervisor for our Repack department here at Gousto. Based at our Warrington site, you will report directly to the Production Manager, working a Monday to Friday day shift. You’ll lead a team to deliver the perfect Gousto box to every customer, on time, every time.

In this role, you will provide hands-on operational management of a newly created small repack and packing facility. You will ensure products are packed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality and technical specifications. By working closely with Technical, Engineering, and Planning teams, you will help deliver the daily and weekly production plans while maintaining the highest standards of safety, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), food safety, and product quality.

What you’ll do

  • Embed a safety-first culture across the facility, guide safety awareness, uphold health and safety policies, and ensure timely incident reporting and action close-outs
  • Foster food safety and quality culture across the operation, ensuring full adherence to GMP, hygiene, and technical standards alongside routine operational checks
  • Ensure repack operations consistently meet quality, legality, and customer standards by conducting thorough investigations into non-conformances and applying effective corrective actions
  • Uphold safe machinery practices and ensure operational colleagues are fully trained, competent, and signed off on flow wrapping, packing, and production machinery
  • Deploy and manage operational colleagues and Tech Ops, ensuring shifts are effectively resourced and hours are managed within agreed labour budgets
  • Manage team performance, conduct, and attendance through 1-1s, Personal Development Plan (PDP) coaching, feedback, and formal investigations when required
  • Conduct regular shift briefings to communicate safety, quality, and performance priorities, foster a welcoming environment, and assist with recruitment interviewing
  • Take day-to-day operational accountability for repack production, managing labour to achieve output, plan adherence, service, efficiency, and minimal waste
  • Oversee the effective operation of multi-head weighers and flow wrappers, working closely with Engineering and Technical teams to resolve defects and reduce downtime
  • Maintain full material control and product traceability to prevent mix-ups, deliver clear shift handovers, and deputise for the Production Manager when required

Who You Are

  • Experienced in supervisory or operational management within an FMCG, food manufacturing, packing, or repack environment
  • Skilled in working hands-on with production and packing machinery, ideally including flow wrapping or similar automated equipment
  • Knowledgeable in food safety, GMP, quality standards, product traceability, allergen control, and safe systems of work
  • Capable of managing a small operational team, including performance, attendance, conduct, coaching, and colleague development
  • Highly organised with excellent labour-planning skills and the ability to prioritise operational tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Forward-thinking in your management style with a visible shop-floor presence to identify issues and engage teams in problem-solving
  • Adept at interpreting, managing, and evaluating operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and data, facilitated by good computer literacy in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent in verbal and written communication to deliver team briefings and work effectively with Technical, Engineering, Planning, and Supply Chain teams
  • Attentive to detail, flexible, and capable of practical problem-solving under pressure
  • Able to manage simultaneous operational priorities while consistently delivering against safety, quality, output, and service requirements

Whether it’s creating diversity in our recipes or building new teams, we care about our people and the opportunities they have at Gousto. Across our business we lead with inclusivity and strive for equality in all we do; working hard to ensure Gousto is an environment where you can be totally yourself.

Everyone is welcome and we’re looking for applications from people of all backgrounds and experiences.
