Senior Development Worker – Youth Delivery

Youth work delivery is usually outside of traditional office hours; late afternoons, evenings and weekends and across the school holidays to meet the needs of young people

SCDA’s Youth work current delivery includes a Youth Café, outreach work, HAF in the school holidays and a range of other activities which meet the needs of local young people. We also support Newhaven Young Peoples Forum providing opportunities for young people to get involved and have a voice in the strategy for young people in the town and surrounding areas.

As a Senior Development Worker – Youth Delivery you will coordinate, lead and deliver SCDA’s youth services, overseeing any sessional or activity-based employees. These could include activities and workshops for young people aged 8-11 and 12-18 years old.

Qualified in Youth Work to a minimum Level 3, or with an equivalent qualification, you will be experienced in working with young people and within safeguarding rules, as well as having a practical, hands-on approach. If you’re looking to build a career in youth work, or simply interested in working with young people, then we would welcome an application from you.

We offer a flexible, hybrid approach to delivery wherever possible, annual leave of 25 days per year pro rata plus bank holidays and sick pay from the start (increasing with service), additional sick pay for planned operations and recovery, a pension scheme, bereavement leave, and managers who are available to you… plus a day off for your birthday!
