Vice President, ESG Sustainability Regulatory Compliance Manager

BNY is seeking a Vice President, Sustainability Regulatory Strategy and Execution to lead enterprise-wide response to evolving ESG and sustainability regulations. In this role, you will interpret global regulatory requirements, shape sustainability strategy, and partner with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and business leaders to embed ESG standards into products and operations. You will oversee regulatory change programs, define governance and reporting, manage stakeholder communications, and ensure timely, high-quality execution. This position offers visibility with senior leadership and the opportunity to influence BNY's global sustainability agenda.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of BNY's sustainability and ESG regulatory strategy across businesses and regions
• Interpret and synthesize evolving global ESG and sustainability regulations into actionable requirements
• Oversee cross-functional programs to implement new regulatory and disclosure standards on time and within scope
• Partner with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Finance, and business leaders to embed ESG into products, risk frameworks, and operations
• Design and maintain governance, policies, and controls for sustainability-related regulatory obligations
• Drive ESG regulatory reporting, disclosures, and data quality in coordination with reporting and technology teams
• Provide clear updates, briefings, and recommendations to senior executives and governance forums
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders on regulatory trends, expectations, and best practices
• Identify regulatory risks and opportunities that impact BNY's sustainability strategy and client offerings
• Foster a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement in ESG regulatory execution
