Job Summary
A Parts Counter Sales Representative is needed for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Shreveport, LA with a stable industrial hose and fittings business. Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the parts counter with industrial hoses, fittings, and related products.
• Identify customer needs, recommend appropriate parts, and help customers find product solutions.
• Prepare quotes, process orders, answer incoming calls, and respond to customer questions.
• Build relationships with new and existing customers through professional service and follow-up.
• Maintain accurate order, quote, and inventory information using company systems.
• Learn product lines and identify opportunities for additional sales and commission earnings.

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting pay: $18.00 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Assist customers with industrial hoses, fittings, and related parts at the sales counter.
• Prepare quotes, process orders, and manage customer follow-up.
• Answer customer calls, identify product needs, and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Maintain accurate order and inventory information while supporting sales growth.
• 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in customer service, retail, counter sales, warehouse, parts, industrial sales, or a related environment.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn industrial hoses, fittings, and product applications.
• Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Comfortable using computers to enter orders, look up products, and manage customer information.
• Dependable, organized, and able to follow through on customer requests.
• Sales-minded attitude with interest in increasing earnings through commission.
• Ability to learn product lines and become a trusted resource for customers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous parts counter, industrial sales, automotive parts, equipment, warehouse, or customer service experience.
• Familiarity with hoses, fittings, industrial supplies, mechanical parts, or related products.
• Experience preparing quotes, processing customer orders, or working in a counter sales environment.
