Job Summary:
This hybrid role is for a Talend Architect with five to nine years of experience, responsible for designing and optimizing robust data integration pipelines using Talend platform, Talend ETL and Advantage Architect. The role focuses on enabling accurate geospatial analytics, improving data quality, supporting complex mapping initiatives and advancing enterprise data driven decision making across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain complex Talend ETL workflows that integrate diverse geospatial and non geospatial datasets, ensuring reliable data availability for enterprise analytics and mapping initiatives.
  • Optimize Talend platform jobs and scheduling to improve performance, scalability and resource utilization, enabling timely insights for stakeholders across multiple business domains.
  • Configure and administer Talend environments in the Talend admin role to manage projects, users and environments, supporting secure and stable data operations in a hybrid work model.
  • Develop Advantage Architect based data models and mappings that accurately represent spatial relationships and business entities, enhancing precision in mapping applications and reporting solutions.
  • Perform rigorous data quality checks and validation on geospatial data sources, identifying anomalies and implementing corrective actions that protect analytical accuracy and downstream decisions.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, geospatial specialists and business analysts to translate complex mapping requirements into Talend ETL designs that are efficient, maintainable and aligned with organizational standards.
  • Document technical designs, data flows, job configurations and environment details in clear forms that support future maintenance, onboarding and knowledge sharing for the wider data community.
  • Monitor daily ETL runs and troubleshoot failures or performance bottlenecks in Talend jobs, applying systematic root cause analysis to restore service and prevent recurrence of issues.
  • Implement best practices for version control, deployment and environment promotion of Talend and Advantage Architect artifacts, ensuring controlled changes and consistent behavior across development and production.
  • Support geospatial analytics initiatives by preparing curated data sets, harmonizing coordinate systems and ensuring that mapping layers are accurate, timely and aligned to business needs.
  • Partner with security and compliance teams to ensure that data integration processes respect organizational governance, privacy expectations and regulatory obligations related to spatial information.
  • Provide guidance to team members and stakeholders on effective use of Talend platform and Advantage Architect capabilities, fostering continuous improvement in data integration and geospatial solution quality.
  • Continuously evaluate new features in Talend platform and advancements in geospatial data practices, proposing incremental enhancements that improve resilience, performance and value of data pipelines.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate strong hands on expertise in Talend platform and Talend ETL with proven experience designing, configuring and optimizing complex data integration solutions in production environments.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of Advantage Architect to create well structured data models and mappings that support geospatial analysis, transactional reporting and enterprise data warehousing.
  • Show solid understanding of geospatial concepts such as coordinates, projections and spatial joins along with practical experience working with mapping datasets and location oriented analytics.
  • Utilize experience in hybrid work models to collaborate effectively through digital tools, maintaining clear communication and reliable delivery across remote and office based interactions.
  • Exhibit strong problem solving skills in diagnosing ETL failures, performance issues and data quality problems, using systematic approaches and documentation to sustain long term stability.
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently and within cross functional teams, managing priorities and timelines while ensuring that integration solutions align with business objectives and user expectations.
  • Apply effective verbal and written communication skills to explain technical designs, data issues and solution options to both technical and non technical stakeholders, supporting informed decision making.

Certifications: Talend Data Integration certification or equivalent Talend platform credential is preferred for this role.
