Trading Systems Engineer - London & NYC- Market-Leading Global Hedge Fund

Now looking to hire a strong Trading Systems Engineer to join one of their major business areas, responsible for developing critical infrastructure for a variety of trading desks.

As a Trading Systems Engineer, you'll work on projects focusing on the real-time production trading environment. You'll be expected to draw on your extensive C++ programming skills to design, develop and deploy new and existing components and frameworks. Collaborating with end users and colleagues across engineering, you'll propose new designs and modify existing infrastructure to drive the continuous improvement of performance, functionality, and stability of the system.

The successful candidate will be someone who demonstrates strong ownership, takes initiative, and thrives in an environment where you can take charge of critical projects and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• Strong computer science fundamentals
• Expert C++ development skills, including network & multithreading
• Experience building enterprise systems and low-latency applications
• Hands-on knowledge of some message-oriented middleware: e.g. Solace, LBM, Tib/RV, etc.
• Bachelors (or higher) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, Economics
• Desirable: Position Management Systems development (including corresponding risk & compliance checks)
