This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Computer Science or Software Engineering graduate to gain hands-on experience working on business-critical applications, software development projects and system integrations. Working closely with the Group IT Director and wider IT team, you will have the opportunity to develop your technical skills, contribute to meaningful projects and play a part in improving business processes through technology. Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computing or a related discipline. ? Good understanding of software development principles and programming fundamentals. ? Experience with at least one programming language, gained through university projects, placements or personal projects. ? Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases. ? Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. ? Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. ? A proactive attitude with a genuine interest in developing your technical skills and knowledge. Desirable: ? Exposure to C# / .NET, JavaScript, Python or similar programming languages. ? Familiarity with SQL Server, APIs and software integrations. ? Knowledge of Git, Azure, Power BI or Microsoft Power Platform. ? Previous placement, internship or practical software development experience. What you'll do ? Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of software applications across the business. ? Work with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and identify opportunities for software improvements. ? Support the investigation, prioritisation and resolution of software bugs and technical issues. ? Contribute to software development projects, from initial requirements through to testing and implementation. ? Assist with integrating business applications, databases and third-party systems. ? Help maintain the security, performance and reliability of existing applications. ? Work alongside IT colleagues and external suppliers to deliver effective software solutions. ? Maintain technical documentation and provide end-user support and training where required. ? Research new technologies and identify opportunities to improve business processes through automation and software development.
