Practitioner Project Manager - Trade Support

Overview

Job Location: Osborne Naval Shipyard - SA. This role is on-site at the Osborne Naval Shipyard with the opportunity to work a 9-day fortnight.

Role: Practitioner Project Manager. You'll work hands-on with a team of experts to ensure that projects are successfully executed, supporting the technical, cost, and schedule goals of each project, and delivering results. You may run small to medium-sized projects within Shipbuilding and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager with planning and delivery of projects ranging from straightforward to complex.
• Engage stakeholders actively and drive projects to a successful conclusion.
• Support Trade Managers in key enablement projects aligned with the Trade Unit Business Plan.
• Define project goals and objectives, develop project plans and timelines.
• Identify project risks and develop risk management plans.
• Manage project budgets and track project expenses.
• Assist in project resources, including personnel and equipment.
• Communicate project status to stakeholders and team members.

Essential Skills

• Demonstrated experience in Project Management, ideally from a production or trades environment, or studying towards a Diploma in Project Management.
• Ability to partner with and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to obtain the necessary deliverables.
• Willingness to learn, try new things, and ask questions to expand knowledge.
• Capability to identify and solve complex problems, think critically, and innovate.
• Eligibility to obtain NV1 Defence security clearance.
