Engagement: Contract

Location: Remote with Travel (Twice per month )

Cloud Focus: Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform - Single Cloud / Multi-cloud not required)

Job Summary

We are seeking a senior Google Cloud Platform Platform Engineer / Architect to join our team, driving enterprise cloud architecture, automation, and infrastructure engineering. This role requires hands-on expertise building and optimizing infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) using Terraform, managing analytics workloads on BigQuery, setting up automated CI/CD workflows via GitLab, and architecting secure Google Cloud Platform network topologies.

This is a dedicated Google Cloud Platform single-cloud position-multi-cloud experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Cloud Architecture & Engineering: Design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade Google Cloud Platform infrastructure following Google's Architecture Framework.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop, module-ize, and execute reusable Terraform scripts for end-to-end cloud resource provisioning and environment parity.
• Google Cloud Platform Data Platforms: Manage, optimize, and support enterprise data warehousing solutions built on Google BigQuery, ensuring proper partition, access, performance, and cost management.
• CI/CD & Automation: Architect and support robust automated delivery pipelines using GitLab CI/CD for continuous integration, deployment, and infrastructure testing.
• Google Cloud Platform Networking: Configure, troubleshoot, and secure virtual private clouds (VPCs), Shared VPCs, Cloud Interconnect/VPN, Firewall rules, Private Service Connect, and Cloud Load Balancers.
• On-Site Client Collaboration: Travel twice per month to client sites in Seattle, WA or Dallas, TX to lead architectural reviews, align with technical leadership, and assist with complex platform integrations.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience specifically focused on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) within the last 4 years.
• Terraform: Deep expertise using Terraform (modules, state management, work spaces) to provision Google Cloud Platform infrastructure.
• BigQuery: Proven experience with BigQuery design, management, schema design, and enterprise data analytics environments.
• GitLab CI/CD: Hands-on experience creating, managing, and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines for cloud deployments and repository management.
• Google Cloud Platform Networking: Strong foundation in cloud networking fundamentals (VPC design, Subnetting, Cloud Routers, DNS, Interconnect, Load Balancing, and Cloud IAM Security policies).
• Travel Willingness: Ability to travel twice a month on-site to Seattle, WA or Dallas, TX (all travel expenses paid/reimbursed by the client).
