Client is looking for a Scrum Master/ Kanban Coach to join their In-Store Infrastructure Technology team. This team is responsible for the systems and network infrastructure with their stores and gas stations. They are not responsible for POS equipment, but they are responsible for the network that connects POS to the rest of Meijer''s systems.

This team is involved in infrastructure related in-store infrastructure technology so they are looking for a Scrum Master that has experience with infrastructure projects (Network, Firewall, Switches, ServiceNow (EAP - Enterprise Agile Planning).

This person will be working with multiple teams from smaller projects to large scale initiatives.

They are also looking for someone who is familiar with Kanban method for managing work (Kanban Boards, task cards, WIP limits, and etc...)

  • Kanban Experience
  • Experience as a Scrum Master/ Kanban for infrastructure projects (Network, Firewall, Switches, Windows, Unix/Linux, ServiceNow)
  • Experience with ServiceNow EAP (Enterprise Agile Planning) is nice to have

Job Description

Scrum Master / Kanban

The ideal candidate for this role has 4 to 7 years of relevant work experience. The Scrum Master supports the team in delivering value by facilitating Scrum ceremonies, promoting effective Agile practices, removing impediments, and helping the team meet its commitments. Additional responsibilities include supporting backlog refinement, authoring user stories and acceptance criteria, tracking progress, and communicating delivery risks and issues.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Facilitate Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Review, and Retrospective. Track progress and help the team meet its commitments. Support the Product Owner and team with backlog readiness, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Coach team members on Scrum practices and working agreements. Identify and help remove impediments, facilitate conflict resolution, protect the team from unnecessary disruptions, and support continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS: Degree in information technology, business, or a related field. Strong facilitation, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to build trust and collaborate with diverse teams. Practical understanding of Agile planning and estimation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

EXPERIENCE: Experience serving as a Scrum Master and supporting multiple Scrum teams. Practical experience with ceremony facilitation, backlog refinement, team coaching, impediment removal, and continuous improvement. Infrastructure, networking, or operations experience preferred.

OPTIONAL CERTIFICATION: CSM, PSM, or KMP

LOCATION: This is a hybrid role. The contractor is required to work onsite Monday through Wednesday and may work remotely Thursday and Friday.
