Mechanical Design Engineer

Design Engineer Location: Dungannon Salary up to £45,000 depending on relevant experience An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and innovative Design Engineer to join a leading engineering team developing bespoke machinery solutions from concept through to delivery. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring customer requirements and project deadlines are met. This role offers the opportunity to work across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical design while overseeing projects through manufacture, installation, and commissioning. Key Responsibilities *Develop initial concept drawings and 3D models to support customer requirements *Transform concept designs into detailed engineering solutions incorporating mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems *Produce detailed engineering drawings and technical documentation for manufacture *Modify and improve existing designs to accommodate bespoke customer requirements *Manage technical customer queries throughout the project lifecycle *Liaise closely with manufacturing teams to ensure projects remain on schedule *Maintain technical specifications, operation manuals, and supporting documentation *Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) *Deliver engineering outputs in line with agreed project schedules *Travel to customer sites to oversee installations and commissioning activities *Support aftersales teams with troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues Requirements *Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or possess significant relevant engineering experience *Minimum of 3 years' experience within a heavy engineering design environment *Strong 2D and 3D CAD modelling experience, ideally using AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks *Understanding of Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles *Flexibility and willingness to travel as required *Full UK driving licence For more information Apply Now Or contact
