RecruitME is working on behalf of our client to recruit an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team within a busy production environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an electrically or mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer who enjoys hands-on fault-finding, solving problems and keeping production running smoothly.

You'll be joining an established operation where engineering is valued, with the opportunity to work on a variety of production machinery, get involved in improvement projects and develop your technical skills.

What You'll Be Doing

Reporting to the Engineering Team Leader, you'll play an important role in keeping production machinery and equipment running safely and efficiently.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on production machinery.

• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime.

• Responding to breakdowns and prioritising repairs to keep production moving.

• Identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency and performance.

• Supporting engineering projects, machinery modifications and equipment improvements.

• Assisting with the management of engineering spares and replacement parts.

• Working closely with production teams to resolve technical issues.

• Supporting contractors and providing technical advice where required.

• Sharing knowledge with colleagues and supporting the wider engineering team.

• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, hygiene and housekeeping.

• Providing occasional leadership cover when required.

What We're Looking For

We're interested in hearing from experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers, Maintenance Technicians, Electrical Maintenance Engineers and Mechanical Maintenance Engineers with a background in manufacturing or production.

Ideally, you'll have:

• Previous maintenance engineering experience within manufacturing, production, food processing or a similar industrial environment.

• Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding skills.

• Experience with planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs.

• A good understanding of industrial machinery and production equipment.

• The ability to diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs under pressure.

• A proactive approach to preventative maintenance and continuous improvement.

• Good communication skills and a positive, hands-on attitude.

• An understanding of health and safety procedures and safe working practices.

• Relevant electrical or mechanical engineering qualifications would be advantageous.

Working Hours & Shift Pattern

Days-based shifts – no permanent nights.

• Early shift: 6:00am – 2:30pm.

• Late shift: 9:30am – 6:00pm.

• Monday to Friday.

• Weekend rota: 1 in 3 weekends.

• Weekend hours: Saturday and Sunday, 7:00am – 3:30pm.
