Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 22 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience.

• Travel experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: Teaching hospital experience is required.

Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Unit Details: Cares for complex, high-acuity adult patients across critical care specialties. The unit cares for kidney, liver, lung, and heart transplant patients. Typical ratios are 1:3 in PCU and 1:4 in acute care; in rare, extreme staffing situations, PCU or acute care assignments may require nurses to flex up by one additional patient. 24/7 access to a Critical Care Float Pool Resource Nurse supports complex clinical situations, problem-solving, and mentorship. Equipment includes temporary pacers, EVDs, CT, and ventilators.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend.

Floating Requirements: Required to float to different units throughout the Ohio State organization as needed, based on competency, patient acuity, and organizational staffing needs. The pool covers all ICUs, including MICU, SICU, NCCU, CVICU, Cardiology, Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, two MICUs, and Cardiology/Diagnostics, and may float throughout the organization when there is no need in Critical Care.

14 days maximum time off. Start assignment restriction: 7 days

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years

1 Manager reference required from within the last 2 years
