Job Description

Job Title: IT Site Infrastructure Engineer I

Internal Title: Engineer, IT Infrastructure I
Location: Orlando, FL (Onsite)

Duration: 24 Months (Contractual)
Department: Information Technology
Reports To: Manager, Site Infrastructure Services

 

Job Summary

We are seeking an IT Site Infrastructure Engineer I to support day-to-day infrastructure operations and assist with technology deployments across multiple sites. This role will act as a technical resource handling service request, supporting infrastructure projects, and maintaining technical documentation.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with senior engineers, project managers, and cross-functional IT teams to ensure smooth execution of infrastructure initiatives, while maintaining alignment with organizational standards and priorities.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support site infrastructure operations, including technology moves, adds, and changes (MAC activities)
  • Assist in planning, testing, deployment, and support of infrastructure-related projects
  • Perform basic to moderate configuration of infrastructure and integration technologies
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Maintain and update technical documentation, dashboards, and ticketing systems
  • Support due diligence assessments for new projects, identifying technical requirements and dependencies
  • Work with project managers and engineering teams to align resources and project priorities
  • Assist in maintaining site inventory data and infrastructure records
  • Identify gaps in existing policies, procedures, and standards, and recommend improvements
  • Provide regular reports and updates to management
  • Support testing and documentation of new tools, technologies, and integration methods

 

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Associate’s degree in IT or related field OR equivalent work experience

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in enterprise IT environments
  • Hands-on experience supporting network, server, and infrastructure systems

 

Technical Skills

  • Basic understanding of:
    • Client/Server architecture
    • Networking and telecommunications systems
  • Experience with:
    • MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
    • Visio and MS Project
  • Exposure to:
    • Infrastructure integration and deployment processes

 

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of:
    • Networking and server technologies
    • Structured cabling systems
    • UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems
    • Telecommunications infrastructure

 

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong customer service mindset
  • Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

 

Travel Requirements

  • 5–15% travel required
  • Travel may include visits to resorts, offices, or call centers for:
    • Site assessments
    • Infrastructure support
    • Issue resolution

Work Environment

  • Office-based role with occasional onsite support
  • Equipment includes laptop, phone, and standard IT tools
