Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with 6+ years of hands-on software development experience to join our team in Columbus, OH. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring, AWS, and React, with experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable enterprise applications.

The candidate should be comfortable working across the full software development lifecycle and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, cloud-based applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java and Spring Framework.
• Develop robust RESTful APIs and backend services using Java/Spring Boot.
• Build and enhance responsive user interfaces using React.
• Develop and deploy cloud-based applications and services using AWS.
• Participate in application architecture, technical design, and code reviews.
• Integrate front-end applications with backend REST APIs and microservices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application performance, production, and technical issues.
• Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-tested code.
• Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, QA engineers, DevOps engineers, and other developers.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and technical discussions.
• Implement appropriate security, logging, monitoring, and performance best practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and engineering standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in Java software development.
• Strong programming experience with Java/J2EE.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Framework / Spring Boot.
• Strong experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
• Strong front-end development experience with React.js.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software development principles.
• Experience with Git and modern software development practices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative Agile development environment.
