QA Test Lead - State Govt Experience Required / Local to MA first preference

Role Title: QA Test Lead - 10+ years exp Required.

STATE GOVT PROJECT / LOCAL TO MA RESUMES FIRST PREFERENCE

Required Skills Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 10 years of professional experience, including at least 10 years of testing experience and at least 2 years of test lead experience overseeing a team. Preferably with large organizations/projects with multiple teams.

• Bachelor’s degree required.

• Confident understanding of system development lifecycle (SDLC) activities and agile methodologies.

• Confident understanding of test activities across the SDLC (e.g., functional testing, integration testing, device & browser compatibility, accessibility testing, user acceptance testing)

• Communication skills and attention to detail are essential.

• Resume must indicate candidate is local to Boston, MA area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work directly with the Technical Manager following project processes and meeting quality expectations.

• Document testing processes and standards of promptness, including test plans, test cases, defects.

• Conduct quality check reviews on testing documentation by the testing team.

• Prepare meeting materials in PowerPoint to present test plans and test results.

• Collaborate with functional and development teams with understanding of desired functionality and respond to questions.

• Prepare testing deliverables such as Requirements Traceability Matrix.

• Facilitate integration and user acceptance testing efforts with multiple other testing teams.

• Anticipate the needs of others to ensure their seamless and positive experience.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Teams, and Co-Pilot).

• Strong collaboration and customer service skills.

• Ability to work in a high-paced fast environment with multiple project teams and team leads.

• Understanding of the systems development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.

• Excellent organization, prioritization, planning, and general administration skills.

• Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks in parallel.

• Desire to be proactive and create a positive experience for others.

• Excellent computer skills, especially typing.

• Strong ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

• Experience of using testing tools such as Jira and Zephyr preferred.
