Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Leek | £50,000 | 4 on / 4 off

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a large, established manufacturing site in the Leek area.

The business operates a large-scale industrial process facility with a wide range of heavy plant and automated production equipment. Due to continued investment and growth, they are looking to strengthen their established engineering team with an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer.

Working a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern, you'll be responsible for keeping critical production equipment running safely and efficiently, carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance across the site.

The Role

  • Carry out planned, preventative and reactive electrical maintenance across the site

  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults on industrial production equipment

  • Fault-find on motors, sensors, contactors, relays, drives and control panels

  • Respond to breakdowns quickly to minimise production downtime

  • Carry out electrical inspections, testing and planned maintenance

  • Assist with PLC fault-finding and automated machinery

  • Support installation, commissioning and improvement projects

  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime

  • Work closely with production and mechanical engineers to keep the plant operating effectively

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow all site health & safety procedures

About You

  • Previous experience as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing or industrial environment

  • Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance skills

  • Experience working with motors, sensors, contactors, relays, drives and control panels

  • PLC fault-finding experience would be advantageous

  • A relevant Level 3 electrical engineering qualification or time-served apprenticeship is preferred

  • Experience within heavy manufacturing, process, food, recycling or similar environments would be beneficial

  • A hands-on, proactive approach to maintenance

  • Happy working a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern
