Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced recruitment professional who enjoys building talent pipelines, partnering with senior stakeholders and delivering direct sourcing strategies that support long-term business growth. The role provides a strong blend of direct sourcing as well as moving the organisation towards a more proactive approact to talent acquistion.

The Opportunity

Reporting into the Head of HR, you will take ownership of the full recruitment lifecycle for specialist, professional and senior-level positions across the business. Working closely with hiring managers and business leaders, you will develop innovative attraction strategies, identify top talent and help shape the organisation's approach to recruitment and workforce planning.

The role offers a broad remit, combining strategic talent acquisition, stakeholder engagement, direct sourcing, employer branding and recruitment process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment campaigns for professional, technical and leadership roles.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand current and future hiring requirements.
  • Develop targeted sourcing strategies for critical and hard-to-fill vacancies.
  • Utilise direct sourcing, networking, headhunting and talent mapping techniques to identify high-quality candidates.
  • Create engaging job advertisements and recruitment campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Screen, shortlist and assess candidates against technical and behavioural criteria.
  • Conduct competency-based interviews and support robust selection processes.
  • Manage offers, negotiations and candidate onboarding activities.
  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience throughout the recruitment journey.
  • Provide market insight, talent intelligence and salary benchmarking information to stakeholders.
  • Support employer branding initiatives and recruitment events.
  • Drive a direct-hire recruitment approach and reduce reliance on external agencies.
  • Ensure all recruitment activity remains compliant with legislation, policy and best practice.

About You

  • Proven track record of recruiting professional roles within engineering, infrastructure or construction
  • Experience recruiting technical, commercial, operational and leadership roles.
  • Strong direct sourcing, headhunting and talent mapping capability.
  • A history of successfully filling challenging and specialist vacancies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Experience using ATS platforms, LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing tools.
  • Strong interview, assessment and candidate management skills.
  • A proactive, commercially focused and results-driven approach.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
