Sr. Payroll Accounting Representative- Defense industry background

The Sr. Account Rep reports directly to the Payroll Accounting Supervisor and will perform assigned payroll duties for multiple operating units. They will ensure compliance with company policies and all regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Process timecards and payroll for multiple companies including more complex payrolls.
• Review and address timecard and payroll discrepancies.
• Review and reconcile payroll.
• Prepare and record payroll journal entries.
• Assist employees with timecard or payroll questions or issues.
• Assist with audit requests as needed.
• Adhere to company internal controls.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required but AA preferred
• Basic knowledge of payroll and accounting
• Minimum of 5 years payroll experience preferred.
• Effective analytical skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Effective computer skills including spreadsheet and office application software.
• Exposure to automated accounting and/or ERP systems, such as Oracle.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and company policies
• Multi-task orientation.
