About the RoleWe are seeking experienced SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) Technical Consultants to join a high-performing payroll and technology team. These are hands-on technical positions focused primarily on supporting New Zealand payroll operations, while also contributing to payroll support activities across other geographies as required.
Key Responsibilities SAP SuccessFactors ECP Support- Act as the subject matter expert for SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP).
- Provide production support, troubleshooting, and operational management of payroll systems.
- Maintain stable, secure, and compliant payroll environments.
- Support payroll processing activities and resolve complex payroll issues.
- Perform payroll and system configuration changes.
- Manage transports and production deployment activities.
- Support system upgrades, releases, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to governance, compliance, and change management processes.
- Support New Zealand payroll processing and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with payroll teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll execution.
- Monitor system health, payroll integrity, and operational performance.
- Participate in critical payroll run activities and provide after-hours support when required.
- Work closely with payroll teams, business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and global support teams.
- Investigate and resolve production incidents and integration issues.
- Contribute to operational excellence across payroll and HR technology functions.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP).
- Deep understanding of Australian and/or New Zealand payroll legislation, compliance, and payroll operations.
- Proven experience supporting complex production payroll environments.
- Experience with payroll configuration, system administration, and transport management.
- Strong ABAP development and debugging skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot payroll, integration, and production support issues.
- Experience maintaining data integrity and system reliability within business-critical environments.
- Knowledge of ITIL, DevOps, Agile, or SAFe methodologies.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- SAP SuccessFactors experience beyond Employee Central Payroll.
- Experience with SuccessFactors implementations, upgrades, and release management.
- Understanding of HR processes and employee lifecycle management.
- Experience working in regulated, financial services, government, or other highly controlled environments.
- Knowledge of enterprise governance, risk, and compliance frameworks.
- SAP SuccessFactors Certification
- SAP Payroll Certification
- Certified Payroll Technician (CPT)
- ITIL Certification
- DevOps Certification
- SAFe Certification
We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:
- Strong New Zealand and/or Australian payroll expertise.
- The ability to work independently in a complex enterprise environment.
- Experience supporting critical payroll operations where compliance and accuracy are paramount.
- A track record of managing incidents, transports, configuration changes, and production support activities.
Candidates with only high-level SuccessFactors exposure and limited Employee Central Payroll support experience are unlikely to be suitable.
