Senior Full Stack .NET Developer (with Front-End & Accessibility Focus)

Location: Des Moines, IA (Remote)

Work Arrangement: Fully Remote (Iowa residents preferred)

Interview Mode: Webcam or In-Person Interview

Position Summary

We are seeking a senior-level developer to build and support enterprise applications. This hands-on role splits focus between .NET backend development (40%), front-end UI/UX implementation (40%), APIs & SQL (20%), with digital accessibility embedded across all responsibilities.

Mandatory Submission Requirement: Candidates MUST submit code samples or a portfolio link (front-end/UI work included) with their application to be considered.

Key Required Skills & Qualifications

Core Backend: Strong experience with .NET, C#, Web APIs, and SQL Server.
Front-End Depth: Hands-on proficiency with HTML5, CSS, Sass, and JavaScript.
UI/UX & Design Systems: Experience applying design thinking, responsive design, and working within an enterprise design system (Bootstrap/Material).
Accessibility (Core Priority): Hands-on experience coding to WCAG 2.1 AA standards using accessibility testing tools (e.g., JAWS, axe).
DevOps: Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
Portfolio: A portfolio or code repository demonstrating UI and front-end work.

Preferred / Bonus Skills

Accessibility certifications (e.g., DHS Trusted Tester, IAAP WAS, or CPACC).
Experience with Angular, AWS, and GitHub.
Background supporting government or healthcare systems.
Experience modernizing legacy systems to modern standards.
