Job Description: Deskside Support & IT Asset Manager

Position Overview
We are seeking a Deskside Support & IT Asset Manager to provide end-user technical support while overseeing the lifecycle management of IT assets. The ideal candidate will ensure timely resolution of hardware and software issues, maintain accurate asset inventories, and support IT operations to deliver a seamless user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide deskside and remote technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware, software, and operating systems.
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of IT assets, including procurement, inventory, deployment, maintenance, and disposal.
- Maintain accurate asset records and ensure compliance with organizational asset management policies.
- Coordinate hardware refreshes, equipment allocation, returns, and replacements.
- Support user onboarding and offboarding, including device provisioning and account setup.
- Manage software installations, updates, and license tracking.
- Resolve incidents and service requests within established service level agreements (SLAs).
- Work with vendors for hardware repairs, warranty claims, and procurement activities.
- Develop and maintain documentation for support procedures and asset management processes.
- Collaborate with IT infrastructure, security, and operations teams to support business needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience managing IT asset inventories and lifecycle processes.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, endpoint management tools, and IT service management (ITSM) platforms.
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals and common enterprise hardware.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with IT asset management (ITAM) and configuration management databases (CMDB).
- Knowledge of endpoint management solutions such as Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM), or Jamf.
- Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Jira Service Management.
- Understanding of software licensing and hardware procurement processes.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, Microsoft, or Apple support certifications.
