Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Informatica Developer Lead with 15+ years of IT experience and strong hands-on expertise in Informatica, PL/SQL, data modeling, and enterprise data integration. The ideal candidate will lead the design, development, optimization, and delivery of complex ETL solutions while working closely with business stakeholders, data architects, database teams, and application teams. This role requires strong technical leadership, deep database knowledge, and the ability to design scalable data structures, including database tables, relational models, and data warehouse components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end design, development, testing, deployment, and support of Informatica-based ETL and data integration solutions.
  • Translate business and functional requirements into scalable technical designs, data mappings, workflows, and database structures.
  • Design and develop complex Informatica mappings, mapplets, sessions, workflows, and reusable components.
  • Develop, review, and optimize PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, views, and complex SQL queries.
  • Perform data modeling activities, including designing relational tables, logical and physical data models, keys, indexes, constraints, and database relationships.
  • Collaborate with data architects and business teams to define source-to-target mappings, transformation rules, data quality rules, and integration patterns.
  • Provide technical leadership to onsite and offshore development teams, including task assignment, code reviews, design reviews, mentoring, and delivery tracking.
  • Troubleshoot ETL, database, performance, data quality, and production issues; perform root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes.
  • Optimize Informatica workflows and database queries for performance, scalability, reusability, and maintainability.
  • Support data warehouse, data mart, operational data store, and reporting platform initiatives.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, estimation, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and release planning.
  • Prepare technical design documents, deployment instructions, data mapping specifications, impact analysis, and production support documentation.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA, production support, infrastructure, database administrators, and project managers.
  • Ensure compliance with coding standards, data governance practices, SDLC processes, change management, and release management guidelines.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 15+ years of overall IT experience with strong background in data integration, ETL development, database development, and data warehousing.
  • Strong hands-on experience as an Informatica Developer or Informatica Lead, preferably using Informatica PowerCenter and related Informatica tools.
  • Expert-level knowledge of PL/SQL and advanced SQL development, including query tuning and performance optimization.
  • Strong understanding of relational database concepts, database design, table design, normalization, denormalization, indexing, constraints, partitioning, and referential integrity.
  • Hands-on experience in data modeling, including logical data modeling, physical data modeling, dimensional modeling, star schema, snowflake schema, facts, and dimensions.
  • Experience working with Oracle and other relational databases such as SQL Server, DB2, PostgreSQL, or similar platforms.
  • Strong experience with source-to-target mapping, ETL design patterns, batch processing, data validation, reconciliation, and error handling.
  • Ability to analyze complex data flows, identify data quality issues, and recommend sustainable remediation approaches.
  • Experience leading development teams and coordinating delivery across onsite, offshore, and distributed teams.
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile delivery, production support processes, release management, and change control.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
