Job Description

Job Summary
The People Experience Partner will work closely with senior managers and the Head of People Experience to deliver a proactive HR service across RE:GEN Group.

Acting as a primary contact for colleagues and line managers across the group, this role focuses on creating a supportive workplace and addressing both day-to-day and longer-term people needs.

A true generalist with the ability to operate consistently and fairly in line with internal processes and legal requirements, working across RE:GEN Group to enable both organisational and people excellence.

Working as part of a team, take joint accountability for decisions impacting on our people – and not being afraid to challenge and disrupt existing thinking.

Occasional travel to the North West, Yorkshire and Midlands will be required.

Daily Responsibility

  • Specific objectives and deliverables will be agreed as part of your annual People Engagement Process (RE:PEP), the points below are a summary of your main duties and responsibilities.

  • Provide first-line people advice, support and coaching matters of employment, including terms and conditions and people policies and resources, with a view to resolving matters right first time.

  • Coach line managers through the full colleague lifecycle from recruitment to offboarding, including all people related issues, concerns and development needs to enable and empower them to manage their people effectively and consistently.

  • Support the Head of People Experience in all appropriate people related activities including delivery of the Group’s People Plan, performance reviews, annual pay reviews and bonus processes

  • Present options for line managers on people issues with pragmatic decision making and guidance that balances business interests and risks with a common sense approach.

  • Facilitate the Group’s workforce planning, including job gradings and carrying out benchmarking as necessary.

  • Liaising with line managers and employees to ensure that all people related tasks are completed and undertaken in a timely manner.

  • Arrange and attend informal/formal meetings, ensuring that all work is accurate and policy/procedure has been followed at all times, ensuring a consistent approach across the Group.

  • Support the delivery of people projects as well as team, directorate and corporate objectives where necessary.

  • Provide people and admin support when required and specifically with internal and external investigating officers in the management of casework; investigations into conduct, capability, absence and grievances etc.

  • Interpret people data and metrics to support decision making in the team and across business areas as needed, in a timely and accurate way.

  • In liaison with People colleagues, provide advice, guidance and administrative support on job design, organisational change, restructuring and redeployment processes, advising on best practice, procedures and appropriate legislation.

  • Contribute to the review, updating and development of policies and procedures within internal governance frameworks and employment legislation.

  • Provide advice and guidance on occupational health referrals and all absence management related issues across.

  • Ensure monthly payroll information provided to the Payroll Team is accurate and work with the team to ensure that pay related information is administered in line with payroll deadlines.

Experience & Skills

  • CIPD qualified or equivalent experience

  • Proven experience working in an HR environment as a generalist at Advisor level or above.

  • Experience managing people systems including, but not limited to HR and e-learning platforms.

  • Experience training/upskilling managers in People related policies/procedures

  • Experience of applying and interpreting procedures and policies effectively and contributing to policy development

  • Clear and credible communicator with the ability to speak about new and current practices at all levels through multiple methods and channels combined with high levels of emotional intelligence.

  • Able to demonstrate problem solving, analysis, reporting and adaptability skills in a fast-paced environment

  • Team Player – to ensure the implementation of joined up services to the Group and ability to coach & support colleagues

  • Able to operate as a true generalist, with a good understanding of the many different responsibilities of a people function.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of HR practice, concepts and themes including employment law and colleague relations issues.

  • Good interpersonal and influencing skills

  • Able to demonstrate a solution focused, can-do attitude in a colleague focused service delivery team

  • Able to plan and prioritise, using own initiative to meet deadlines and colleague expectations.

  • Able to build rapport and relationships and establish confidence and credibility in the service offer being delivered.

  • IT literate, competent in the use of MS Office, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
