Senior IT Project Manager – PMO

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead complex enterprise technology initiatives from planning through implementation and closeout. This role will manage multiple concurrent projects within a formal PMO environment and work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, consultants, and implementation partners.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on project leader with strong experience managing technology implementations, SDLC, project governance, budgets, risks, dependencies, and cross-functional teams. Experience within a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, medical device, or other regulated environment is highly valued.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of IT project management experience, preferably within a formal PMO environment.
• Proven experience managing multiple complex technology projects simultaneously.
• Experience working in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, medical device, life sciences, or another regulated industry.
• Strong experience with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project delivery methodologies.
• Hands-on experience managing projects across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements, implementation, testing, validation, deployment, and operational transition.
• Strong understanding of project governance, risk management, budget management, scheduling, dependency management, and change control.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, CAPM, CSM, Agile, or other recognized project management certification.
• Experience in life sciences, biotech, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or regulated environments.
• Familiarity with GxP / GxP-regulated environments.
• Experience delivering technology initiatives involving Veeva, CRM, Data & Analytics, SaaS, or cloud platforms.
• Experience managing software vendors, system integrators, implementation partners, and consulting firms.
• Experience preparing executive-level presentations, project dashboards, and steering committee materials.
