Job Description

LightGrid is hiring for the following Position. TOP SECRET Clearnce required. The Systems Engineering Lead provides systems engineering support for the development and acquisition of capabilities across current and newly activated Programs of Record. The position supports a multidisciplinary systems engineering approach that balances cost, schedule, performance, and risk across the systems and software lifecycle. NA / Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline Certifications preferred: INCOSE CSEP or ESEP certification 8+ years of relevant systems engineering experience within DoD environment Preferred:

  • Experience equivalent to DAWIA Practitioner-level Systems Engineering / previous DAWIA SPRDE experience -Experience with MBSE and systems-engineering/requirements management tools.
  • Experience with cloud, software, hardware, cybersecurity/system security engineering, and emerging technologies relevant to defensive cyber capabilities.
Experience supporting complex DoD/Army systems acquisition or development programs. Lead and manage systems engineering activities across assigned programs and projects. Work independently with minimal supervision while exercising sound technical judgment on complex engineering issues. Lead multidisciplinary technical teams and coordinate across hardware, software, cybersecurity, cloud, and other engineering disciplines. Provide technical leadership and recommendations to Government program leadership, identifying risks, tradeoffs, and solutions affecting cost, schedule, performance, and mission outcomes. Oversee and guide technical execution, including requirements, architecture, integration, testing, verification/validation, and other systems engineering lifecycle activities.
  • Strong executive communication skills - Ability to brief senior Government leadership - Strong collaboration across technical domains - Ability to translate strategy into implementation guidance
