Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Architecture and Design

•             Define and maintain the Salesforce enterprise architecture, including data model, security model, integration patterns, and environment strategy

•             Lead solution design for new clouds, features, and large-scale transformation initiatives

•             Evaluate build vs. buy vs. configure decisions, including AppExchange products

•             Produce clear architecture artifacts: solution designs, data flow diagrams, ERDs, and technical standards

Technical Leadership

•             Provide guidance and mentorship to developers, admins, and business analysts

•             Lead code and configuration reviews to ensure adherence to best practices

•             Establish and enforce development standards, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines

•             Troubleshoot complex technical issues and performance bottlenecks

Integration and Data

•             Design integrations between Salesforce and ERP, marketing automation, data warehouse, and other enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, and middleware (e.g., MuleSoft)

•             Own data governance, migration strategy, and data quality practices

•             Manage large data volumes, sharing performance, and storage optimization

Governance and Security

•             Maintain org health through technical debt management, release management, and sandbox strategy

•             Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2)

•             Monitor Salesforce releases and recommend adoption of relevant new capabilities

Collaboration

•             Partner with product owners, business leaders, and delivery teams to turn requirements into actionable technical roadmaps

•             Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

•             Work with vendors and implementation partners, holding them to architectural standards

Required Qualifications

•             12+ years of Salesforce experience, including 6+ years in an architect or senior technical lead role

•             Deep expertise in at least two Salesforce clouds (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, etc.)

•             Strong command of Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL/SOSL, Flow, and the Salesforce security and sharing model

•             Proven experience designing enterprise integrations and API-led architectures

•             Experience with large-scale data modeling, migration, and governance

•             Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD, and Salesforce DX

•             Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills

•             Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or active CTA candidate

•             Additional certifications: Integration Architecture Designer, Data Architecture Designer, Sharing and Visibility Designer, Identity and Access Management Designer

•             Experience with Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud, CPQ, or Agentforce and AI capabilities

•             Experience with MuleSoft or similar integration platforms

•             Background in Agile/SAFe delivery environments

•             Industry experience in healthcare/lifesciences
