Assembly Technician

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking an Assembly Technician for a contract position with a Global Biotechnology Company located in Fort Collins, CO. This is a 3+ month contract opportunity.
This role involves following written instructions to build, test, and troubleshoot complex electromechanical, fluidic, and optical assemblies. The ideal candidate will work with hand tools and test equipment in a dynamic manufacturing team environment, focusing on high-quality production and process improvement.
Responsibilities:

• Follow written work instructions to build electromechanical, fluidic, and optical assemblies
• Work with hand tools, test equipment and computer software to build, test and troubleshoot
• Work with the manufacturing team and engineering to improve procedures or designs to reduce assembly and test time
• Produce high-quality work with attention to detail
• Maintain a clean and organized work area that supports co-workers as well as safety, efficiency, quality and customer demands

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• 2-5 years of experience manufacturing high precision products
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Able to read schematics and mechanical drawings
• Proven troubleshooting skills
• Comfortable navigating multiple software applications
• Physical requirements: Standing, bending, reaching and handling bulky parts is common to the job

Desired skills:

• 2-year technical degree is a plus

Pay range: up to $25.00 per hour
