Systems Engineer, Sr. with Security Clearance

Job Description Overview Sr. Systems Engineer with expertise in C2 systems, command and control, mission planning and battle management systems, and/or ground, air, and space-based sensor systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering principles and methodologies, with a focus on complex, mission-critical systems. This role involves working with cross-functional teams to define system requirements, develop system architectures, and ensure system integration and interoperability. Responsibilities

• Lead systems engineering activities for complex C2, mission planning, and sensor systems.
• Define and validate system requirements, ensuring alignment with mission objectives.
• Develop system architectures and design solutions that meet performance, reliability, and maintainability goals.
• Coordinate with software, hardware, and subsystem engineers to ensure system integration and interoperability.
• Conduct system trade studies and analyses to support decision-making.
• Prepare and present technical documentation, including system requirements, design documents, and test plans.
• Support system verification and validation activities, including testing and analysis.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices in systems engineering.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Computer, Systems, Aerospace) or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in systems engineering, with a focus on C2, mission planning, or sensor systems.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and methodologies (e.g., INCOSE, IEEE).
• Experience with system requirements definition, architecture development, and system integration.
• Proficiency in systems engineering tools (e.g., Model-Based Systems Engineering tools, requirements management tools).
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with specific C2 or mission planning systems (e.g., JEFX, JADC2, AFATDS).
• Knowledge of sensor systems (e.g., radar, EO/IR, SIGINT).
• Familiarity with software development processes and tools.
• Experience with model-based design and simulation tools.
