Community Support Specialist ERE

Support Recovery at a Critical Point as a Community Support Specialist – ERE Full-time, benefit eligible position. 40 hours weekly. Join a mission-driven team supporting individuals in crisis through Missouri’s Emergency Room Enhancement (ERE) program. As a Community Support Specialist, you’ll be the connection point between emergency care and long-term recovery, helping individuals stabilize, access services, and re-engage in their communities. Key Responsibilities Assisting individuals in accessing mental health, medical, financial, and housing services Providing direct support for essential needs like food, shelter, and clothing during times of crisis Coaching and training in independent living skills such as budgeting, transportation, and self-care Helping individuals navigate community resources for long-term support and stability Following up on appointments and assisting with forms, documentation, and applications Providing transportation when needed to support access to care and services Requirements, Skills, Knowledge and Expertise • High School/GED required • Associates or bachelor’s degree in a human service related field preferred QUALIFICATION(S): WORK EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Must qualify for position based on overall CSS requirements in at least one of the options listed: o Qualified addiction professional; o Bachelor’s degree in a human services field from a college or university included in the U.S.
