Role : Automation Test Engineer - Security Controls

Location : Charlotte, NC / Dallas, TX (Hybrid)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Selenium automation and Security Control Validation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience testing and validating endpoint security controls such as Application listing, AppLocker, WDAC, McAfee Application Control, Carbon Black, CrowdStrike, or similar technologies. The candidate will be responsible for designing automation frameworks, executing security validation tests, and ensuring security controls operate effectively without impacting business applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Selenium with Java/Python.
• Create and execute test cases for security controls and endpoint protection solutions.
• Leverage AI-assisted testing tools to improve test case generation, maintenance, and execution efficiency. 
• Use AI-based code coverage analysis to identify untested code paths and improve overall test effectiveness.
• Validate Application listing policies and security rule enforcement.
• Verify functionality of AppLocker, WDAC, Carbon Black, CrowdStrike, or equivalent technologies.
• Automate security control validation and compliance testing.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and security testing.
• Collaborate with Security Engineering, Development, and Infrastructure teams.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and drive resolution with stakeholders.
• Generate test reports and provide recommendations on security control effectiveness.
• Support CI/CD integration using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.

• Measure statement, branch, function, and path coverage.
• Identify coverage gaps and recommend additional automation scenarios.
• Define and track code coverage KPIs.
• Ensure coverage targets (e.g., 80%+ unit test coverage) are achieved.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Cybersecurity or Endpoint Security products.
• Understanding of Windows Security Architecture.
• Exposure to Vulnerability Management and Security Operations.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting.
• Knowledge of CrowdStrike, Carbon Black, Trellix/McAfee, or Microsoft Defender.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 5+ years of Automation Testing experience.
• 2+ years of Security Control Validation or Endpoint Security testing experience.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Nice to Have

• CISSP, Security+, CEH, or equivalent security certifications.
• Selenium certification.
• Experience working in Banking or Financial Services environments.
