Position Summary

4Consulting, Inc is seeking a qualified Software Quality Assurance Analysts and Testers to support technology consulting, application development, systems analysis, testing, data management, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or project delivery services for client projects. The selected candidate will perform duties consistent with the client’s project requirements and company delivery standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible for:

Develop, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios to verify application functionality and quality.

Design, maintain, and execute automated test scripts and integrate automated testing into continuous integration and delivery processes.

Test APIs, web services, and software integrations to verify functionality, reliability, and data exchange.

Identify, document, track, and report defects; analyze test results and collaborate with stakeholders to support issue resolution.

Minimum Qualifications

The position requires:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including functional and manual testing, automation test script development, API testing of RESTful APIs, web services and microservices, database testing, test documentation, test result analysis, defect reporting, and collaboration with development teams.

Technical Skills:

Functional Testing, Manual Testing, Automation Testing, API Testing, Postman, SoapUI, RESTful APIs, Web Services, Microservices, Database Testing

Business / Domain Skills:

Experience validating application functionality, business rules, workflows, integrations, and data accuracy across software systems.

Experience validating RESTful APIs, web services, and microservices to support reliable system communication and end-to-end transactions.

Experience validating business rules, application workflows, interfaces, data, batch processes, and end-to-end transactions through functional, integration, regression, UAT, and end-to-end testing.

Experience documenting defects, maintaining test evidence, preparing quality reports, and collaborating with development and product stakeholders.

Communication:

Ability to communicate with technical and business stakeholders.

Documentation:

Ability to prepare project documentation, status updates, and deliverables.

Work Authorization:

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship may be considered where permitted by company policy and project requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with established software testing methodologies and quality assurance processes.

Ability to analyze complex issues, troubleshoot defects, and communicate findings clearly.

Experience supporting continuous testing and collaborative software delivery practices.
