Job Overview
Our client, a large state government health and human services organization, is seeking a motivated Senior Quality Assurance Analyst to join its Medicaid Systems Development (MSD) team. This individual will primarily support a Health Safety Net (HSN) application that facilitates healthcare access for uninsured and underinsured Massachusetts residents, while also providing QA support across other MSD applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute both manual and automated test cases and test scripts
- Conduct requirements analysis and create effective, reusable test scripts based on functional requirements and use cases
- Participate in defect triage, remediation, and JAD sessions with cross-functional teams
- Perform requirements verification, functional, security, regression, smoke, and ADA testing
- Capture and track defects; develop day-to-day test metric reporting and Test Summary Reports
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitActions, Jenkins)
- Perform gap analysis and add new test scenarios to the testbed
- Support data setup for performance testing and provide backup support for the Test Manager
- Review business analyst and SME deliverables to ensure well-defined requirements
- Broad knowledge of testing approaches: black-box, white-box, functional, smoke, regression, security, ADA
- Strong expertise in backend testing and writing complex SQL queries (subqueries, joins)
- Experience with Oracle database and/or SQL Server
- Proficiency with Jira, HP Quality Center, IBM ClearQuest, IBM Test Manager
- CI/CD integration experience (GitActions, Jenkins)
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
- Salesforce testing experience
- Prior experience in a healthcare or government setting
Hybrid — primarily remote with the ability to come into the Quincy, MA office when requested. Accessible by public transportation. 37.5-hour work week; no overtime.
Engagement DetailsThis is anticipated to be a long-term contract engagement. Note: all new hires start 3 weeks after acceptance. Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent experience required.
