We are looking for Node.JS Backend Developer - Hybrid for our client in Toronto, ON

Job Title: Node.JS Backend Developer

Job Type: Contract

Job Overview:

Requirement/Must Have:

  • 5+ years of software development experience.
  • Strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, Express.js/NestJS.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage effective prompts to drive efficiency and productivity using AI platforms and tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude and others.
  • Experience with REST APIs and microservices architecture.
  • Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of secure coding and software engineering best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain backend applications using Node.js and TypeScript.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Collaborate with Architects, Product Owners, QA, and DevOps teams.
  • Ensure application security, performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and production support.

  • React/Angular exposure.
