AWS Full Stack / Backend Developer

Role Summary
A mid to senior-level AWS developer is sought to design, develop, and support cloud-native applications within the AWS ecosystem. This fully remote contract role involves building serverless solutions, API integrations, and backend services to support modern web applications hosted on Amazon S3. The ideal candidate will leverage extensive AWS experience to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable cloud solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams across the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Build and support serverless solutions utilizing AWS Lambda, Step Functions, and API Gateway.
• Develop backend services and REST APIs supporting React-based web applications hosted on Amazon S3.
• Design and implement integrations between AWS services and Oracle databases.
• Develop batch processing and event-driven architectures using SQS, SNS, and EventBridge.
• Configure and support CloudWatch for monitoring, alerting, and operational visibility.
• Support automation of infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous integration and deployment.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, analysts, and business stakeholders on project initiatives.
• Participate in Agile and Scrum ceremonies ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of experience working with cloud technologies, particularly AWS.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, and serverless application development.
• Strong Python development skills.
• Proven experience developing REST APIs and backend services.
• Experience with Oracle database integrations and cloud modernization projects.
• Familiarity with deploying and maintaining scalable, secure cloud solutions.
• Knowledge of Agile and Scrum development methodologies.
• Ability to work independently and deliver production-ready solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Publishing Pay Range: $80.00 - $90.00 hourly

• This position is based in remote location and can be performed from an approved location.
