Storage Engineer - Hybrid & Cloud Platform Infrastructure- Market-Leading Global Hedge Fund

Salary: up to £250k base

Your focus will be to design and evolve modern storage platforms across hybrid and cloud environments. To do this, you'll integrate storage systems with compute and network infrastructure for optimal performance and capability, as well as designing and operating seamless hybrid-cloud storage platforms. Collaborating closely with engineering teams, you'll deliver self-service capabilities and reduce manual effort, while driving adoption of modern storage practices.
If you are keen to modernize storage infrastructure and build scalable platforms that move beyond traditional models, coupled with exceptional communication skills, this role would be perfect for you.
Requirements

• Extensive experience operating storage systems in large-scale, low-latency environments
• Deep expertise in protocols and technologies, e.g. NFS, SMB, S3, Linux, Fibre Channel and NVMe-oF
• Deep knowledge across at least two of the following: file, block, object, cloud, or data protection
• Proficiency in Python and/or Bash scripting
• Experience with modern storage and data platforms, e.g. NetApp, Pure, VAST, Weka, GPFS, cloud storage
• Minimum bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or related field)
