The Role

We are currently looking for an experienced and reliable Mechanical Shift Engineer to join our team at a prestigious site on Belgravia, London.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance, ensuring the building's mechanical systems and facilities are maintained to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive mechanical maintenance.

• Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults efficiently and safely.

• Undertake routine inspections and maintenance of building services systems.

• Respond to reactive maintenance requests and breakdowns.

• Complete maintenance tasks in accordance with health and safety procedures.

• Maintain accurate records of completed works and report any outstanding issues.

• Work effectively alongside other engineers and site-based teams.

• Support the smooth and efficient operation of the building and its mechanical systems.

• Participate in the site callout rota, approximately 1 week in 4.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience working as a Mechanical Engineer within a commercial building or facilities management environment.

• Strong mechanical maintenance and fault-finding experience.

• Relevant mechanical engineering qualifications.

• Good understanding of health and safety requirements.

• Able to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team.

• Good communication and organisational skills.

• A proactive approach to identifying and resolving maintenance issues.

• Willingness to participate in the callout rota.
