Quality Engineer

Quality Engineer - Automotive Assembly - to £52k We are recruiting a Quality Engineer to support a brand new automotive assembly operation. This role offers a unique opportunity to embed quality into processes from day one, working in a fast-paced and evolving manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities Establish and maintain quality contr ol processes in line with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 Conduct audits and inspections of assembly operations Monitor quality KPIs including scrap, defects, and customer complaints Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) Support new product launches and engineering changes (APQP) Maintain quality documentation (Contr ol Plans, FMEA, PPAP) Collaborate with suppliers, customers, and internal teams on quality issues Train production staff on quality standards and best practices Requirements Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar Minimum 3 years&&' experience in automotive quality engineering Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and core quality tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC) Knowledge of VDA 6.3 / VDA 6.5 auditing standards Strong problem-solving and communication skills Desirable ASQ CQE and/or Six Sigma Green Belt Supplier quality or automotive assembly experience WR Engineering are the #1 recruitment partner for engineering, manufacturing &&& technical sales jobs.
