Job Description

Principal Structural Engineer - Leeds - c£65K

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Principal Structural Engineer to join a growing employee-owned multidisciplinary consultancy, delivering a variety of building structures projects across the UK.

As Principal Structural Engineer you will be responsible to Lead and manage structural projects through to completion, including projects up to £75M.

The Role

  • Design across a range of structural materials, including steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
  • Undertake structural analysis, 3D modelling, feasibility studies and appraisals.
  • Prepare reports, specifications, calculations, designs and drawings.
  • Coordinate with Infrastructure and Geo-environmental teams.
  • Carry out site visits and inspections.
  • Lead, mentor and coordinate engineers, graduates and technicians.
  • Support client relationships, networking and business development.

Requirements

  • Chartered/ Incorporated Engineer, or approaching professional qualification, with IStructE or ICE.
  • 10+ years' relevant structural engineering experience.
  • Proven experience delivering building structures projects up to £75M.
  • Strong structural design and technical knowledge.
  • Experience with TEDDS, Tekla Structural Designer, Fastrack Portal Frame, CADS Wall Panel, P Frame and Masterseries Retaining Wall.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.
