Job Title: Project Manager - Banking & Financial Services (UK Market)

Location: Pune

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager to lead and deliver strategic initiatives for Banking and Financial Services clients in the UK. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management expertise, understanding of retail banking operations, and the ability to manage complex stakeholder environments across multiple geographies and functions. This role requires exceptional client engagement, delivery leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills to ensure successful project execution and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project delivery for UK Banking and Financial Services clients, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

• Act as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders, building trusted relationships and driving successful engagement.

• Manage project planning, execution, governance, risk management, issue resolution, and reporting activities.

• Coordinate and collaborate with business, technology, operations, compliance, risk, and third-party teams to achieve project objectives.

• Facilitate workshops, requirement discussions, status meetings, steering committees, and executive reviews.

• Monitor project progress, dependencies, risks, and resource utilization, ensuring proactive mitigation and resolution.

• Drive stakeholder alignment and negotiate project priorities, timelines, scope changes, and deliverables with UK-based clients.

• Ensure adherence to organizational delivery standards, quality processes, regulatory requirements, and governance frameworks.

• Support business transformation, process improvement, and operational efficiency initiatives within banking and financial services environments.

• Prepare and present project dashboards, status reports, executive summaries, and management updates.

• Manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining high-quality delivery standards.

• Foster collaboration among geographically distributed teams and promote a culture of accountability and execution excellence.

Required Skills and Experience

• 8+ years of project management experience, preferably within Banking and Financial Services.

• Proven experience working directly with UK-based Banking and Financial Services clients.

• Good understanding of Retail Banking processes and products, including:

- Mortgage Operations

- Financial Crime Management

- Compliance and Regulatory Processes

- Business Finance

- Lending Operations

- Customer Onboarding and Servicing

- Risk and Control Frameworks

• Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale transformation, regulatory, technology, or process improvement projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification - Preferred and considered a strong advantage.

• PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum Master, or equivalent project management certifications are desirable.
