Position Overview

\n

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on SAP IBP Consultant with strong expertise in SAP IBP Supply Planning, Demand Planning, and SAP PP/DS. The ideal candidate should be capable of driving implementation activities, resolving complex planning and integration challenges, and taking ownership of deliverables with minimal supervision.

\n

The consultant must have strong integration knowledge across manufacturing (SAP PP) and Order-to-Cash (SAP SD) processes.

\n

Key Responsibilities & Required Technical Skills

\n

1. SAP IBP Supply Planning & Optimization

\n

\n
• Configure, test, and optimize SAP IBP Time-Series Supply Optimizer using LP/MILP.
\n
• Configure penalty costs, non-delivery and violation costs, quota and priority handling, and capacity-constrained planning across production, transportation, and inventory.
\n
• Design and manage multi-echelon supply networks using subnetwork IDs and receipt cost rates.
\n
• Maintain supply planning master data, including sources of supply, production source items, capacity supply and usage, transportation lanes, and lead times.
\n
• Design and manage planning levels and key figure architecture.
\n

\n

2. SAP S/4HANA MRP & IBP Integration

\n

\n
• Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA MRP Live (MD01N) and Classic MRP.
\n
• Configure and manage lot-sizing procedures, MRP controllers, special procurement keys, stock transport orders (STOs), intercompany processes, and safety stock methods.
\n
• Integrate SAP IBP with S/4HANA using Cloud Integration (CI-DS) and Real-Time Integration (RTI).
\n
• Ensure synchronization of planned orders, purchase requisitions, production orders, and stock transport requisitions.
\n

\n

3. SAP PP/DS & Detailed Scheduling

\n

\n
• Configure standard and custom PP/DS production scheduling heuristics, including:
\n
• SAP_PP_002 – Planning of Standard Lots
\n
• SAP_PP_003 – Planning of Shortage Quantities
\n
• SAP_DS_01 – Stable Forward Scheduling
\n
• Sequence-dependent setup matrix scheduling
\n
• Configure and manage the Detailed Scheduling Planning Board, resource Gantt charts, setup matrices, and finite-capacity scheduling.
\n
• Optimize production campaigns and minimize setup times for continuous and semi-continuous manufacturing lines.
\n
• Manage Production Data Structure (PDS) transfer and maintenance.
\n
• Model single-activity and multi-activity resources, capacity variants, and break schedules.
\n

\n

4. Cross-Functional Integration

\n

\n
• Understand manufacturing execution processes within SAP PP, including production order confirmations and shop-floor staging.
\n
• Support SAP SD and Order-to-Cash processes, including backorder processing (BOP), Advanced Available-to-Promise (aATP), and interplant stock transport orders.
\n
• Ensure smooth integration between planning, manufacturing, inventory, and order fulfillment processes.
\n

\n

5. Implementation & Delivery

\n

\n
• Lead and support solution build, configuration, and implementation activities.
\n
• Drive System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
\n
• Manage cutover planning, sequencing, and execution.
\n
• Troubleshoot integration issues and drive defect resolution.
\n
• Take ownership of deliverables, maintain accountability, and work independently with minimal supervision.
\n

• Extensive hands-on experience with SAP IBP Supply Planning, Demand Planning, and SAP PP/DS.
\n
• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA MRP and integration with SAP IBP.
\n
• Practical experience with manufacturing and Order-to-Cash integration.
\n
• Ability to hit the ground running and independently drive project activities.
\n
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and accountability skills.
\n
