Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain complex integrated project schedules using Primavera P6.
Define project activities, durations, sequencing, dependencies, and milestones to support successful project execution.
Ensure project schedules accurately reflect scope, deliverables, and customer requirements while adhering to organizational scheduling standards.
Build and manage integrated outage schedules, including resource loading and leveling using Critical Path Methodology (CPM).
Collect and analyze project progress data and provide accurate schedule status updates and performance reports.
Identify schedule risks, potential delays, and critical path impacts while recommending mitigation strategies.
Lead and facilitate schedule review meetings with project stakeholders, documenting action items and ensuring follow-up.
Communicate schedule performance and project status to Project Managers, execution teams, contractors, and senior leadership.
Support project governance standards and organizational scheduling best practices.
Assist with system administration activities including user security, roles, and schedule troubleshooting.
Mentor junior schedulers on scheduling best practices, schedule analysis, reporting, risk assessment, and Primavera functionality.
Perform schedule and cost integration activities including SPI/CPI analysis.
Develop schedule scenarios, what-if analyses, recovery plans, and schedule compression strategies as needed.
Support project teams by providing schedule-based risk assessments and recommended mitigation actions.
Coordinate effectively with field execution teams and contractors throughout project execution.
 
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
Qualified degrees may include:
Construction Management
Engineering
Project Management
Business
Technology
Accounting
Or another related field
Minimum experience requirements include:
High School Diploma/GED with 7 years of related experience
Associate Degree with 5 years of related experience
Bachelor's Degree with 3 years of related experience
Additionally:
5+ years of Primavera P6 scheduling experience is required.
Experience supporting utility, engineering, construction, maintenance, planning, or capital projects.
Experience with project scheduling, forecasting, cost tracking, budgeting, and project controls.
Understanding of project management principles and accounting fundamentals.
Preferred Certifications
Professional certifications are preferred and may include:
PMP
RMP
CCMP
CETa
IQCP
Other relevant project management or construction certifications.
