Test Automation Engineer / SDET

Location: Atlanta, Georgia (Remote)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Test Automation Engineer / SDET. This role involves designing and implementing automated testing solutions to ensure the quality and reliability of our applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test automation frameworks, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to working within an Agile development environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
  • Create and manage feature files (Gherkin) for complex scenarios.
  • Integrate test automation into the CI/CD pipeline (Jenkins, Maven, Ansible).
  • Analyze issues to identify root causes and collaborate on resolutions.
  • Work with cross-functional teams including developers, QA analysts, and business systems analysts.
  • Assess test cases to determine suitability for automation versus manual execution.
  • Contribute to the conversion of existing Selenium tests to Playwright.
  • Develop SQL scripts with multiple joins to validate data.
Required Qualifications

Experience:
  • 7 years of hands-on experience with Selenium, or 3-5 years with Protractor/Cucumber.
  • 3-5 years of experience creating feature files (Gherkin).
  • Proven experience with ATDD/BDD/TDD processes and Agile methodologies.


Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Proficiency with Playwright, Selenium, Java, and Java Rest Assured framework.
  • Knowledge of Page Object Model (POM).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline integration tools such as Jenkins, Maven, and Ansible.
  • Familiarity with Angular and Spring frameworks.
  • Ability to develop complex SQL scripts.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in automated API testing using REST Assured, Postman, or SOAP testing tools.
  • Knowledge of AI-driven test automation concepts.
  • Familiarity with JIRA, GitLab, Nexus, XLDeploy, UFT, and VBScript.
