Job description

Software Test Automation Engineer Program Description: Seeking an SDET / Test Automation Engineer to support the development of a strategic weapons system. This role will help modernize software verification and automated testing within a DevSecOps environment supporting mission-critical software, embedded systems, and system integration. The engineer will work alongside software, systems, hardware, and integration teams to build automated test capabilities supporting continuous integration, software verification, and long-term Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) testing as the program matures.

This position will initially focus on software test automation and will partner closely with a dedicated HWIL Test Engineer to develop an integrated, end-to-end automated testing strategy spanning both software and hardware verification. Day to Day Responsibilities: Design and maintain automated software test frameworks within a modern DevSecOps environment. Develop automated verification and validation tests supporting system and software requirements. Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and rapid feedback.

Partner with software, systems, integration, and hardware engineers throughout the development lifecycle. Support testing of mission software, embedded software, and flight software components. Collaborate closely with a Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) Test Engineer to develop integrated automated testing solutions spanning software, hardware, and system-level verification. Develop automated regression, integration, and end-to-end system tests. Help define and mature Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) testing capabilities.

Support future automation of electronic board-level and hardware verification testing. Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and improve overall test coverage and reliability. Contribute to test infrastructure, lab automation, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
