Backup Engineer
Remote Role
Fulltime/W2- Infinite Computer Solutions
We re looking for an experienced Backup Engineer to help design, implement, and manage a large-scale, mission-critical backup and recovery environment. You ll work with modern data protection technologies, automation, disaster recovery, and enterprise infrastructure.
What You ll Do
  • Manage and support enterprise backup infrastructure using Rubrik, Dell Data Domain/DD Boost, and Infinidat.
  • Design and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Monitor and optimize backup performance, capacity, availability, and reliability.
  • Automate monitoring, alerting, reporting, maintenance, and recovery processes.
  • Troubleshoot complex backup and infrastructure issues across VMware, Windows, and Linux/Unix environments.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, storage, networking, and application teams on projects and technical initiatives.
  • Participate in 24x7 on-call support and critical incident resolution.
  • Help strengthen backup security, business continuity, and recovery readiness.
What We re Looking For
  • 4 7 years of experience in enterprise backup, data protection, or backup infrastructure.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Rubrik, Data Domain/DD Boost, and Infinidat.
  • Experience with VMware, Windows, and Linux/Unix environments.
  • Knowledge of backup architecture, recovery, disaster recovery, performance, and capacity management.
  • Experience with automation using Python, Ansible, Perl, or similar tools.
  • Good understanding of CIFS, NFS, NDMP, networking, and storage technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, organization, and project collaboration skills.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with NetApp, Isilon, Pure Storage, IBM Spectrum Protect/TSM, or Veritas NetBackup.
  • Experience with Splunk, Moogsoft, Power BI, VMware vRealize, or ServiceNow.
  • Experience supporting large-scale, multi-petabyte environments.
