Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with strong  healthcare payer domain knowledge to support strategic initiatives, product enhancements, and business transformation programs. Candidates with prior experience working with Elevance Health will be highly preferred.

The ideal candidate will partner with business stakeholders, product teams, and technology teams to gather and analyze requirements, assess business processes, develop business cases, and translate business needs into actionable requirements and delivery plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to understand business objectives, strategic priorities, and operational challenges.
• Conduct requirements elicitation, gap analysis, business process analysis, and solution assessments.
• Translate business requirements into epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and solution discussions.
• Develop current-state and future-state process flows, workflow diagrams, and functional documentation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, operational efficiency, and business transformation.
• Prepare business cases, feasibility assessments, recommendation documents, and solution proposals.
• Support RFP responses, client requests, and strategic solution assessments as needed.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners, architects, developers, and QA teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect triage, release readiness, and implementation activities.
• Ensure solutions align with business objectives, healthcare regulations, compliance requirements, and organizational standards.
• Support digital transformation, analytics, and AI-driven initiatives where applicable.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Product Ownership, or a related role.
• 4+ years of experience in the healthcare domain.
• 4+ years of experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong understanding of U.S. healthcare payer operations and business processes.
• Proven experience in requirements gathering, stakeholder management, process modeling, and functional documentation.
• Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, product backlogs, and functional specifications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional business and technology teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with Elevance Health (Anthem) projects, products, or business functions.
• Knowledge of healthcare payer operations, including:
• Claims Management
• Enrollment and Membership
• Benefits Administration
• Provider Management
• Care Management
• Value-Based Care
• Healthcare Regulatory and Compliance Requirements
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Visio, Azure DevOps, and process modeling tools.
• Exposure to healthcare analytics, AI/ML use cases, reporting, or digital transformation initiatives.
• Experience supporting healthcare product development, consulting engagements, proposal development, and RFP responses.
• Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, CSPO, or Agile certifications are a plus.
