Role Summary
We are seeking a Product Manager III – FSMA Integration & Traceability Platforms to lead product strategy, requirements, and delivery for a critical food traceability initiative. This role will focus on the product capabilities that enable the collection, transformation, validation, and reporting of traceability data across a complex ecosystem of enterprise systems and partner integrations.
The ideal candidate combines strong product management fundamentals with experience supporting integrations, middleware platforms, data flows, and enterprise applications. This individual will work across business and technology teams to translate regulatory requirements, operational needs, and data governance standards into clear product requirements that support food traceability, compliance readiness, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead product planning, prioritization, and roadmap execution for enterprise traceability and compliance initiatives.
- Translate regulatory, operational, and business requirements into epics, features, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
- Define product requirements for integrations between supplier systems, distribution systems, enterprise platforms, middleware applications, and traceability solutions.
- Analyze end-to-end data flows and identify opportunities to improve data quality, validation, governance, and reporting capabilities.
- Develop source-to-target mappings, business rules, validation requirements, error handling processes, and reconciliation workflows.
- Partner with engineering, architecture, data, QA, and integration teams to ensure scalable and reliable solution delivery.
- Manage product backlogs and priorities while coordinating dependencies across multiple product and technology teams.
- Lead user acceptance testing, release readiness activities, implementation planning, and post-launch performance reviews.
- Establish and monitor KPIs related to adoption, data quality, operational effectiveness, and traceability readiness.
- Serve as the primary product liaison between business stakeholders, operations teams, engineering partners, and compliance-focused organizations.
Key Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in Product Management, Platform Product Management, Business Analysis, or a related discipline.
- Experience working with enterprise integrations, middleware platforms, APIs, data exchange solutions, or enterprise applications.
- Proven ability to define user stories, business requirements, workflows, acceptance criteria, and process documentation for complex systems.
- Strong understanding of data flows, source-to-target mapping, data transformations, validation rules, error handling, and reconciliation processes.
- Experience managing product backlogs and delivering solutions within Agile or Scrum environments.
- Demonstrated ability to work across multiple stakeholders and influence decisions among business, operations, and technology teams.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using metrics, reporting, and KPIs to drive prioritization and measure outcomes.
- Ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into scalable product capabilities and system requirements.
- Exceptional written, verbal, facilitation, and organizational skills.
- Experience collaborating with engineers and architects on integration requirements, technical constraints, and solution design.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within supply chain, logistics, demand planning, retail operations, food distribution, or franchise-based business environments.
- Experience managing middleware solutions, integration platforms, workflow applications, or enterprise data products.
- Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns including APIs, batch processing, event-driven architectures, and data quality frameworks.
- Familiarity with food safety, compliance, traceability, supplier management, quality management, or regulatory technology platforms.
- Experience defining application workflows, reporting requirements, user roles, permissions, and governance controls.
- Experience partnering with enterprise architecture, data engineering, security, compliance, and quality assurance teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
- Experience supporting large-scale regulatory, compliance, or operational transformation initiatives.
