Job Description

People Business Partner

London (hybrid | 3days) – travel required

£60-65,000 + car allowance + bonus + bens

I’m currently recruiting for a People Business Partner to join a large, complex and fast-paced organisation, partnering closely with senior operational leaders across a number of business areas and key client accounts.

This is a genuinely hands-on partnering role for someone who enjoys being close to the business - balancing the day-to-day People agenda with more complex ER, organisational change, talent and workforce priorities.

You’ll act as a trusted advisor to senior operational leaders, providing pragmatic, commercially focused People advice and helping build confident, capable management teams.

The role will include:

  • Partnering with senior operational leaders to translate business priorities into practical People plans
  • Managing complex employee relations matters and coaching managers through challenging situations
  • Supporting organisational change, restructures, mobilisations, demobilisations and TUPE activity
  • Driving talent, succession and performance conversations across your business areas
  • Using people data and insight to identify trends, risks and opportunities
  • Supporting engagement, culture and inclusion initiatives
  • Working closely with specialist People teams across Talent Acquisition, Reward, L&D and Shared Services
  • Building management capability and ensuring consistent, commercially sensible People practices

What we’re looking for:

You’ll be an experienced HR / People Business Partner with strong UK employment law knowledge and a solid background in employee relations.

You’ll be comfortable operating in a large, matrixed organisation and credible partnering senior operational stakeholders. Experience supporting multi-site, operational, facilities, property, engineering or similarly complex environments would be particularly relevant.

You’ll need to be pragmatic, commercially minded and comfortable managing multiple priorities, with the confidence to challenge senior stakeholders when needed.
